Access down Fort Road from B4267 between Penarth and Sully, park near caravan site entrance or at end of road.
The Welsh end of the Severn Estuary. Footpath next to caravan park entrance leads you through local nature reserve famous for limestone flora and butterflies to well-preserved WWII Anti-aircraft battery and coastal searchlight. Excellent views from cliff top of Flat and Steep Holm with Brean Down beyond. Small medieval church at the end of the road has plaque to commemorate Marconi�s first successful transmission of radio across water to Flat Holm in 1897. Access to beach with good fossils on limestone pavements.
